Mark McAuley— Snow Escape
An intense dramatic short film that captures an important moment in the life of the main character as he struggles to make the right decision that would ultimately lead to his redemption. I am primarily an actor having acted in a wide variety of productions. For the last two years I have concentrated mainly on my training studying at the actors studio under Tim Mc Donnell at the focus theatre. I have recently moved in to writing and directing having made my first short film last year and with another one in the pipeline
Clodagh Dowling— The Evolution of Lauren Begaun
This is her first play and was premiered to at the 2008 Dublin Fringe Festival where it sold out. The show captures the mood of the moment— a credit crunch lunch–time thriller. Think Whatever Happened To Baby Jane meets John B Keane’s iive but funny.(Irish Theatre Magazine).
Noel Brady— Movers and Shakers
This short follows the adventures of our hero, Seanie Seapail as he meets his enemy Blayne L Finlayson, the result has earth–shattering effects. This short film is a tip–of–the–hat to the films of yesteryear inspired by genius such as Laurel & Hardy and Buster Keaton.
Ronan Gallagher— Underworld
A taut, well–achieved psychological thriller about dishonour amongst thieves, which benefits from the powerful performances of Don Baker Michael McElhatton and Tomas O Suilleabhain— Hugh Linehan, Irish Times
Rose Lawless— Cabaret Revolution
I’m kind of a rich girl gone wrong. My pedigree is dark but dramatic. I’m the fallout of an illicit passion between a street entertainer and an diplomat’s wife. My life, like my art, is like the international scandal they could never manage to hush up. I sit on a barbed wire fence between heaven and hell and sing my blood red songs of longing and rage.
