Holistic Afternoon10/05/07
For those who would like to open themselves to the ancient wisdom of Eastern Philosophies, The Shed hosts two masters of meditation and relaxation next Sunday. They are both based in Dublin and work with personalised forms of metaphysical thought. The aim is to create groups who would like to meet weekly.
Dimitri Maslov (Siberia/Ireland)— Chinese Tea Ceremony
I represent a lineage of Tea masters from China who have continuously transmitted Daoism for the last 5000 years. I received knowledge of The Tea Ceremony or The Way of Tea (meditations with tea) about 5 years ago and since then I’ve been practicing and performing this type of art. These performances include a lecture on the History of Tea, Philosophy and Psychology, Storytelling and the Health benefits of Tea. Each Tea brings a different magical feeling, and its a type of meditation which gives a pleasant state of relaxation and fulfillment in life. The final goal is to create a Tea Ceremony school and to introduce Irish culture to this type of art. Please note that you are required to fast two hours before the ceremony and for one hour afterwards.
