The Engine Room Orchestra
The Engine Room Orchestra was formed in the early hours of 2007 out of the melting pot of young composer activity that exists in Dublin city. The founding member (Brian Ledwidge-Flynn) was at that time completing his undergraduate degree in composition and music technology in Trinity college Dublin where he was fortunate enough to rub elbows with some very fine instrumentalists and composers alike, many of whom are currently core members of the group. The goal of the ensemble is to bring contemporary music into the environs of popular culture to be enjoyed as a current and accessible medium by those who love interesting and innovative music.
